I have been asked to participate on a panel discussion with the Sr. Thesis class this April at Dominican University (my Alma Mater) about life as an artist post graduation.

My painting, revealing stories, will appear on the cover of the Winter 2014 issue of Encaustic Arts Magazine

Sarah participated in Activate: Art. Music. People. Alleys with the Chicago Loop Alliance on August 1st at the Sullivan Center Alley. From the Loop Alliance website: A new series from Chicago Loop Alliance, ACTIVATE is part spectacle, part happy hour hangout. Combining the talents of Chicago’s most creative minds, the events will feature art, live music and more in unique urban settings. 

Sarah participated with other member's of FusedChicago and members of New England Wax on "The Diptych II Project" a show has been produced on the work and will be on view at Engine Gallery in Biddeford, Maine 7/25-9/20/2014. There has also been a catalog produced for the project and can be viewed here

Sarah was included in the Winter 2013 edition of Studio Visit Magazine. Selections for this issue were made by Barbara O'Brien, Executive Director of the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, MO. For more information, click here

Sarah presented a demo titled "Giving Form to Paper" at the 7th International Encaustic Conference in Provincetown, MA on May 31st, 2013. For more information, click here

Sarah's wax and paper work, continuing stories #3, which was shown during the FusedChicago group show at CLC, was acquired by the College of Lake County for their permanent collection. This work has also been included in the recently published ebook by artist Catherine Nash, "Authentic Visual Voices: Contemporary Paper & Encaustic" for more info or to order a copy, click here

Sarah's wax and paper work, sketchy stories #3, was acquired by R&F Handmade Paints, in Kingston, NY for their collection.

Sarah was awarded at FY2012 Professional Development Grant by the Illinois Arts Council
